Why should you join us as a beekeeper?

By Nora Mäntysaari on March 9, 2021

” Could you sell my honey too?”. Earlier I had no answer to this. My own honey brand Hello honey is very carefully built, and I didn’t know a way to promote honey produced by you and other beekeepers. Now I have the answer – here it is.

The sales channel for your honey

Managing your own web shop and website can be a struggle. I have tried to make it easy for you to join our platform and benefit from all the effort we do in marketing.

Honey lovers see a particular value in buying food directly from the producer. They want to know how things are really made and what is the story behind the honey they eat.

Promoting your honey

Not everyone is a great marketer. We all don’t need to be. I have spent years making frequent content to my social media channels. Nowadays I reach 100 000 people each month. Now I am turning everything I know from marketing to your benefit and promoting your honey.

Honey export needs co-operation

If we want to get serious about selling the beautiful versatile of Finnish honey varieties abroad, we need each other. The potential out there is huge! This is the place where we can show the world what is Finnish honey made of.

Stories of beekeeping

Oh, the things we do for pollinators. I want to tell people about the seeds you chose especially for pollinators in your garden, the flower field you farmed and the time you gave to children to tell them about bee’s metamorphosis. I know you do everything you can to help pollinators.

This platform was not an idea by a beekeeper. This was an idea by a honey lover. If the demand is already there, why wouldn’t you join us?

Why it is important to adopt a beehive

Since the very beginning of our journey we have one clear goal in mind: raising awareness about the environmental problem related to bee’s population decline. We strongly believe that people, as well as institutions and companies play a key role in solving this problem. Why? Because we all have some moral responsibility and it is …

How Bee Rescue started – Our story briefly

Have you wondered how Bee Rescue began? To answer this question, we need to go a little backwards, precisely to July 23rd, 2020. On that day, I was reading an article about the different options that people can choose from to help local farmers in Italy. For instance, in Sicily you have the possibility to …

This Honey Quartet is ready for 2022 👌🏼 just This Honey Quartet is ready for 2022 👌🏼 just a few “notes” (since we talk about a quartet 😀):

If you adopt now, in the low season, you will still get the honey that beekeepers stored. This will take from 1-2 months max. We think it’s nice to wait a bit! And you will get the seed paper card and certificate right away.

Clearly, if you adopt in the late spring or summer you will get the honey from the new harvest 👉🏼 summer 2022 in this case.

As for the yearly adoption, you get honey every 2 months for 1 year. Simple as that 🍯

Still, we wanna thank you for choosing us for your xmas gifts 💝 thank you, lovely people!

Recently a friend shared with me a post that made Recently a friend shared with me a post that made me think about how much small achievements count, and how they give us motivation and a purpose.
Worker honeybees are incredible hardworking creatures. In their short lifespan (40-60 days if born in summer) they complete many tasks, depending on their age.
👉 only in the last phase, they finally leave the hive to accomplish the job of foraging 🌷🐝
👉 a worker bee will produce in her life an average of 1/12 teaspoon of honey but for that, she will visit a huge amount of flowers 😮😮
Maybe next time we taste a spoon of honey we will remember to appreciate small accomplishments and the hard work we put into them 🥰
Have a nice weekend all 👋

It is interesting to read that honey had been used It is interesting to read that honey had been used since ancient times, to heal wounds. Of course, modern wound-healing remedies were not an option 👩‍⚕️🍯

As a matter of fact, honey has antibacterial properties and a specific acidic pH level which boosts oxygen release (important in the healing process). Also, honey contains only a small amount of water, which is one of the conditions the bacteria need to grow and multiply.

👉 However, wounds are always different and it is good to treat them properly, as honey can not replace other modern wound healers. Lastly, the honey used by practitioners is medical-grade honey, which is sterilized and does not contain additives.

Spring is on its way. How exciting! 🌷😁 Howev Spring is on its way. How exciting! 🌷😁
However, this is the time of the year when it is easy to get sick, because of the continuous fluctuations in temperature.

Have you ever tried the old grandma honey trick? Honey is not actually a cure for cough or cold 🤧, but several research demonstrates that one spoon of honey before bedtime, alone or with lemon, brings relief as much if not more than cough medicines. Plus it is natural and delicious, so it can’t hurt to try! 😊

Bees are very tidy and clean insects 🐝 and even Bees are very tidy and clean insects 🐝 and even when it is time to poop, they fly outside the hive.

Now, during colder months bees are stuck inside for long periods, but whenever the temperatures allow, they go on so-called "cleansing flights." This operation becomes more visible when there is snow on the ground (see picture👇)

Cleansing flights are a good sign that the colony is alive and healthy! 💪😊
